Dithianon 70% WDG
Dithianon is a protective fungicide, available in formulations such as wettable powder (WP) and water-dispersible granules (WDG). It works by reacting with sulfur-containing groups and disrupting cellular respiration to inhibit a series of fungal enzymes, thus providing protective and curative effects. It is effective against a variety of fungal diseases, especially notable for its control of anthracnose.
Dithianon is primarily used in fruit trees, including apples, pears, peaches, apricots, cherries, citrus, as well as in the disease control of crops like coffee, grapes, strawberries, and others. It can prevent and treat diseases such as black spot, mold, leaf spot, rust, anthracnose, scab, downy mildew, and brown rot, but it is ineffective against powdery mildew. When used, it is typically applied as a foliar treatment, with varying dosages depending on the disease and crop. Dithianon is classified as a low-toxicity fungicide and is safe for humans, livestock, bees, fish, and other organisms.
