Fipronil 80% WDG; 20% SC
Fipronil is a phenylpyrazole class insecticide with a broad spectrum of activity, possessing contact, stomach poison, and moderate systemic effects, offering control over both soil and foliar pests. It can be used for stem and leaf treatment, soil treatment, and seed treatment. It disrupts the gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) regulated chloride ion channels in insects, affecting the functionality of the insect central nervous system, ultimately leading to the death of the insect. This insecticide is widely used in the control of pests such as rice stem borers, brown planthoppers, and cotton bollworms in a variety of crops including rice and vegetables.
